What is KAYOTY ?

Kayoty is a hardwre level spyware watchdog software. The word "Kayoty" derived from bangla and it means "who's that?".  Means that when user uses internet, this software will show detail of connections, that has been made to your computer.  Kayoty will display information about the internet or intranet connection in your computer, including IP number, Host Name, Direction of internet/intranet traffic, Amount of data received in bytes, Amount of data has been sent in bytes and last connection timestamp.


Where to get Kayoty ?

Get the installable package from from http://geocities.datacellar.net/jahan.geo or email jahan@  bol-online.com. And then just unzip and click on the Setup.exe. Rest is automatic.

How to unistall ?

Go to Control Panel-Add/Remove and then select Kayoty.

How to start the program ?

You will find the Kayoty in your programs menu. In Windows 95/98/ME, its here. Sart/Programs/Kayoty


How to make the Kayoty as Topmost Window ?

Select it from View/Topmost Window   from the main menu.


How to make it back to normal from Topmost Window ?

Select View/Normal Window   from the main menu.


How to stop traffic tap ?

Select Traffic/Stop Tap from the main menu.

How to start traffic tap ?

Normally it is started automatically when Kayoty is started. But you can  select Traffic/Start Tap if you have stopped the tap.


How to exit Kayoty ?

Select File/Exit  from the main menu. Make sure that the traffic tap has been stopped.


How to save current screen ?

Select File/Save from the main menu. The saved file will be in HTML format.


How to copy just one connection ?

Right click on the desired connection information. Then select Copy from the context menu.


How to print ?

Select File/Print from the main menu. It will open your internet browser, from your browser you can print.

What is IP column?

Every user in the internet has a number assigned. This number is called IP number. The number may be temporary or parmentent. It has four parts and separted by  3 dots (".") . Each part has a number between 0 to 255. Some IP numbers are officially fake. They are 

What is Direction column?

The data travel direction. Towards your computer its Inward, otherwise Outward.


What is Inward column?

Inward column contains the amount of bytes came in to you computer.


What is Outward column?

Outward column contains the amount of bytes came going from your computer.


What is Byte ?

Byte means a character. There are some characters that is not printable eg, space, backspace, tab, enter.


What is Host Name column?

Every  IP number has a human understandable name (mostly). This is also known as domain name.


What about Timestamp column?

The initiated connection time.
