Aug. 25, 1998 CNET News.com reported today that Access 97 (and possibly the 2.0 and 95 versions as well) has a bug which may cause edits to one database record to be saved to a different record. For more info, see the News.com article

March 17, 1998 PCWeek Online reported on Feb. 9 a trio of bugs with FrontPage 98 server extensions. Supposedly a couple of features doesn't really exist, and a runtime bug will send users to non-existent pages.

May 5, 1998 CNET news.com reported that a feature of FrontPage 98 can allow users to erase their entire hard disk by accident. For more information see the article.

Aug. 12, 1998 Microsoft has released a new version of the Outlook '98 patch previously released July 27. Microsoft recommends that you install the new patch.

July 27, 1998 Microsoft has released an update to Outlook '98 to fix a problem which can cause Outlook to crash when viewing file attachments with long names. The fix is available from Microsoft's Outlook 98 Downloadable Files page. Just look for the link "OUTPATCH.EXE: Microsoft Outlook 98 Security Patch". For more info, see Microsoft's bulletin.
