Aug. 22, 1998 ZDNet has released an updated article on the System Doctor problem. August 21, 1998 ZDNet and several other computer news media organizations, including CNET News.com, are reporting that Symantec has confirmed that the most recent version of Norton Utilities (3.07; obtainable via LiveUpdate) contains a version of System Doctor which under certain circumstances can cause your computer to freeze at shutdown, and may also cause loss of access to floppy disk drives.
