Microsoft Windows is the operating system released by Microsoft Corporation. It currently has over 90% market share, resulting in the U.S. Dept. of Justice filing antitrust claims against Microsoft after the release of Windows 95 and Windows 98. The current version of Microsoft Windows is Windows XP. You must purchase or have a license for each computer in your possession that you have installed the operating system. A new feature in Windows XP, Product Activation, enforces this provision in Microsoft's license agreement.
