FPGA systems are used mainly in systems ``ASICs'' prototyping because of their reconfigurability and the ease and low cost of their development process. They can be used to perform multiple operations on different phases of system operations, for example and FPGA can be configured to perform system diagnostics at power-up [16] then it can be reconfigured to do something else during the system running.
FPGA systems are divided into three main categories:
- FPGA Emulators.
- Custom Computing Machines ``CCM''.
- Run-time reconfigurable ``RTR'' system.
