Sculpture and Computers: About Me

Senior Thesis Art Project by Mike Mittelman for Wesleyan University

A little about myself:

I am a senior Art Major at Wesleyan University. My training is almost entirely in architecture, but I also have done an extensive amount of photography and am very interested in three dimensional forms of artistic expression.
When I'm not sitting at a computer, I enjoy working with my hands. I am currently working in the Theater Department at Wesleyan helping to build and design sets. It was there that I learned how to weld and discovered steel as a medium.
I will be graduating in the Spring of 1997 with a B.A. in Studio Art. Afterward I hope to help other artists and architects make the transition to computer-based or computer-aided work. I think computers are an incredibly powerful tool for the artist and can enable them to explore many new areas in their art.
To see some of my work experience or a more formal description of my backround, please see my resume.
I also really appreciate mail and feedback, so please send me some mail.
