That boy sure is a dancin' fool!

If OJ had worn a pair of black Nike's instead of his Bruno Magli's, would the world still be the same place? Most likely we’d have a living Nicole Brown and a 'container-less' Heisman trophy winner. Either way, many products we use everyday have the opportunity to be immortalized in the sick minds of the famous and soon to be infamous. Makes you want to stay home and ingest nonstop CNN.

I often wonder what companies have set up to say publicly when one of their products is used in an a manner which it was not designed. Can you see them trying to capitalize on it?

Those are like, killer shoes dude.

Bruno Magli (Black) - Bloody good shoes! Often used in conjunction with 'bloody good gloves'. Allows the wearer to get away with murder. To see how, check this homepage:

I think they're Gainin' on us!

Ford Bronco (White) - Useful, flashy sport utility vehicle used for leading convoys of LAPD Troopers at speeds up to15 mph

Check out the mansion

Nike Running Shoes (Black) - Fully functional, the new Nike feels out of this world. We guarantee this will be the last pair you ever buy. Accessorize with a purple shroud.

I would imagine that companies falling victim to White Bronco Marketing decide to deal with it by doing nothing at all. Companies should be careful with the 'do nothing' strategy because they run the risk of missing out on important disclaimers (i.e. Nike box: "shoe not intended for interplanetary travel"). Either way, I can bet we won’t see white Bronco ads within the next 50 years.

heavensgate.com [mirror] or The Big G in the Sky ?

I don't know about you, but the first time I saw the Heaven's Gate logo all I could see was the Green Bay Packer's 'G' Logo. (This is not surprising to us Wisconsin people because speaking w/ God from Lambeau Field is a local call). Is there something going on here that we should all know about, or were the cult members ticked about the Pack dropping 'Bad Moon' Rison? You can pass the Judgement on that one.

Final stupid thought: maybe Calgon could get back into the consumer products business by starting an ad campaign "Hale/Bopp, take me away!"

If the glove fits...

Cheers,

Devious has left the building!
