A Week In The Life Of Tinuvial

I’m a creature of habits, but still very spontaneous. I like having I routine that I can “choose” to abandon if necessary. I think that gives me a greater sense of freedom than if I lived my entire existence in chaos and disorder. So, unless something spectacular comes along to shake up my week, this is usually how you will find me. (Note: It was high time I updated this page, considering how long I allowed the information to be outdated).

Monday
I’ve been working at NASCO since April 14, 1998. I know that I really should have updated my page, but I’m having to work a whole lot harder than I did at HP. I mean, I don’t have time to sit at work and do HTML on my own pages any more... we don’t have web-access for things like that... It was a very hard adjustment to make... the corporate atmospheres of the two companies are extremely dissimilar. It took a while to get settled in, but I enjoy my job and look forward to retiring in 30 years from NASCO. (They’re one of the few companies left with an actual *pension* plan.)

Tuesday through Thursdays
Well, since my job change I’ve pretty much stopped doing the “vampire” thing. This is probably because I’m working regular daylight hours now, and can’t be the night owl that I used to be. I’m perfectly content hanging out around the house, surfing the web, chatting on ICQ, listening to music, reading a book or some other quiet activity. No more clubbing for me either, 6 a.m. comes way too early in the morning.

Friday
Friday nights are still “date night” for me. A date usually consists of dinner, the movies or coffee with a friend. (No one in specific right now.) I’m happy with the way things are so I’m not in any rush. I enjoy being single.

Saturday
Saturdays are “me” days. I usually don’t schedule anything in advance for Saturdays, and I just go where my whims take me. Shopping, movies, a ballgame, a roadtrip, whatever the tone is for the moment - sometimes with friends, sometimes without.

Sunday
Sunday is the day for housework, laundry, and all the mundane chores I avoid so diligently the rest of the week. Sunday afternoons and evenings usually find me walking through a park or art museum with friends, or generally looking for something of a “cultural” nature to do.

So, there you have it, my week in review. Hope I didn’t bore you, and I hope you’ll sign my guestbook.
