The Legoland County Building was sold to Kajsa International Hotels in 1996 for an undisclosed sum of money soon after the Legoland Government Complex was unexpectedly closed following a plane crash. The Complex property was split between Kajsa and JML Enterprises, which converted the old County Library into Bigfoot's Dance Club (which was rebuilt in March 1998).
The Hotel Atalante is currently under construction. The old County Building is being used in the new construction for a lobby and offices. The addition will include a restaurant/bar called Bailey's Irish Pub and multiple stories of luxury hotel rooms, as well as underground parking.
Project completion is expected in 1999.
