The New Paradigm Oracle: Webmaster's Sonnet #1: "Today"

SONNET No. 1: "TODAY"

Contents of the New Paradigm Oracle

Sonnets originated in Italy

Alone today, and tomorrow to pine,
We have today, and maybe tomorrow.
To make the best of the present, not whine,
Is all one can do to avoid sorrow.
Stay in the now: no one captains his ship.
Wanting to dictate life is chaotic.
Holding onto self will with vicelike grip,
One who thinks he's God must be psychotic,
For harnessing things equals illusion.
Like aiming over Tower of Babel,
Trying to master fate spells confusion,
Backfiring below the place of rabble.
Through time, on big issues, men disagree
  Except for one: controlling destiny.
