3 medium sized apples,unpeeled,cored and thinly sliced
1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese,cut in 1/2 inch cubes
2 cups sliced celery
3/4 cup slivered,toasted almonds
1-19 oz can pineapple chunks,drained
Combine above in large bowl
Mix together
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Add to apple mixture, tossing gently. Chill at least 3 hours before serving.
Salmon Mousse Salad
1-8 oz. can salmon
1 can tomato soup
2 tblsp unflavored gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water
1-8 ox. pkg. cream cheese
Heat undiluted soup on low. Add cream cheese. Stir to soften cheese. Add gelatin and salmon.
Fold into this
1 cup salad dressing
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped celery
1 small onion, chopped
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper.
Pour this into an oiled fish mould. Chill. Unmould onto a lettuce lined tray.Put a slice of olive in place for an eye.
Macaroni Salad
2 cups macaroni,cooked and cooled
2 ripe tomatoes chopped
1 green onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup cucumber,chopped
Mix together the following and pour over the above
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. paprika.
