Okay, yet again, it's time re-evaluate, calm down, and just plain get over it. It's unhealthy to be this worried/obsessed/vindictive/defensive. Honestly, I get so worked up sometimes.

NedStat's working again. No apology, no explanation, nothing. Stupid Nedstat Thingy. I'm going to have word with those people. Who cares if it's free? That's no reason for it to malfunction for two days!

Astoundingly, my parents agreed to take in Yahoo (Dirk's cat). My father, as usual, suggested that Dirk join the Coast Gaurd. He then launched into a re-telling of the events that lead to him joining the Navy. This time, it was because of the London Flu, which laid him up for five weeks, apparently. According to my grandfather, and past versions of this story, my father was taking too many drugs to even make it to class, much less pass. My grandfather issued the following ultimatum: "You can either get a full time job, or you can join the armed forces, but I'm not going to waste my money on college any more." I guess he's embarrassed about this now.

I've been guestbook-hopping in the name of my ‘zine. It's a lot duller than most people would imagine...I have run across some incredibly stupid homepages. I mean, just pointless weird stuff, sometimes just a picture. The worst one I came across was in my own neighborhood. All it had was a picture, and the following:
Ola People!!
Hello and welcome to my everchanging webpage. I'm constantly learning and then making changes, so check in occasionally. The beauty of the Internet is allows for alot of freedom, but we must fight for that freedom as this medium develops every step of the way. The internet allows for all kinds of creativity and forums and the explosion of it is awesome. I am so glad to be living in this time, to be able to witness this metamorphasis in action. Lets use it for Good, not evil.

I was just so impressed, I didn't know what to do. Why did she even bother? She didn't have to put it up in Geocities. She could have typed that up, made a bunch of photocopies, and left it on peoples' windshields. Better yet, she could have spray painted it in a subway somewhere. It would certainly have gotten more exposure. I'm probably the first person who's read her little happy in the past five months, and the only reason I'm reprinting it is I'm horrified. Perhaps that was her intention all along?

The least she could have done was spelled Hola correctly.

I'm so sad...no-one's taken my Nifty Survey in a couple of days. I'm starting to feel unloved. I'm considering putting up a links page, but I don't know....seems kind of cliché. As if writing an online journal isn't.

I just shooed away Josh the psycho mail clerk. He really bothers me. He's got an anti-WHFS site up, it's all he can talk about, and he's always talking. I used to attempt to be kind to Josh, until he almost brought the wrath of my supervisor down upon me. A site dedicated to things people had shoved up their butts caught his attention, and he proceeded in a near-yell to describe things that he had personally shoved up his butt. It's really hard to get him to shut up. He's even tried to follow me when I've walked away as rudely as possible.

I'm trying to plan Dirk's birthday party. Yes, as of April 20, he will be 20 years old. Feel free to e-mail Dirk to tell him how proud you are of him for surviving for two decades. Please refrain from suggesting the armed forces as a lifestyle/career option, however. Dirk's got enough on his mind.

Thanks to the IRS being kind to me, I actually have enough money left over to buy him a cake, etc. All I need is a place to throw the party.....commence wheedling.

E-Mail Me!
