This dramatic fortress rises above the banks of the River Avon only 8 miles from Shakespeare's Stratford on a site first fortified by William the Conqueror in 1068. 

It is surrounded by 60 acres of grounds and gardens, landscaped by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.
