Missing You - By Suzie
A hazy sky With an amber glow The sun's warm rays On the ocean below A perfect path Of glistening light Reminds me of My lonely plight The horizon where The path does end Defines the distance My letters wend For you my friend So far away Are in my thoughts Each and everyday Deep in my heart Is your image so real Never to fade Time can't stealThe view of the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean inspired me to write this poem. The horizon is always a distance away... like friends who live far away across the ocean. Despite my friends, relatives or loved ones living in another town or country, thoughts of them remain in my heart. Suzie Court © 1998
