WHIMSICAL POETRY

Deep Within a Forest
7/16/98

Deep within a forest where the elves and faeries play
My love calls to me, through dark and dream I hear him say,
"Come dance with me my water sprite, for I have found a stream
where we can frolic through the night, until the first sunbeam."

And waltz we do, to cricket-song, past hills and trees and glen,
Through love’s enchanted world we fly, until we reach the river’s bend
Where we fulfill our wildest dreams, and while away the night
Beneath the full moon, love's dear friend; bathed in her silvery light
