and wondered what I looked like "after all these years"!)
Ten toes, ten fingers, painted red.
Dark brown eyes that love to smile.
Dark brown hair upon my head.
Once long, now I must wait awhile.
Pale pink lips, painted with a sigh.
nervously chewed upon when in thought.
Heavily freckled, my oh my.
Despite all the remedies I have bought.
Picture the girl you used to know.
Toss in some pounds, some wrinkles and years.
Add a few children, more laughter than sorrow.
Think about fog, and the picture clears.
Playfully dancing in the rain
A dreamer, a faraway look in my eyes
Older yet wiser, some would say.
Am I really that old? Boy, how time flies!
