WHIMSICAL POETRY

Hazy Daze
12/11/81

Logic and proportion have faded, gone to none,
Death and life's illusions have molded into one.
Love and hate are gone, there is no color..only grey
Peace and heaven's contentment seem so very far away.
The skies are often cloudy; the sun rarely shines above.
Time seems never ending in this hazy daze of love.

If life doesn't seem worth living,
And the only thing worth giving,
Isn't wanted, won't be taken
And you know your heart is breaking...
When all is undecided
So much need, but all one-sided,
You can't see the sun above.
This is the hazy daze of love...

Finally,
As the clock moves slowly forward,
And the days don't seem to end,
Your life goes trudging onward,
But your broken heart won't mend.
You wander without purpose through
the world and in your mind
Till suddenly you realize
This love has kept you blind.

And if life doesn't seem worth living,
When the only thing worth giving,
Isn't wanted, won't be taken
And your heart is surely breaking...
Know, in time the pain will lessen,
and you'll come out of depression.
The sun will shine above,
After the hazy daze of love.
