Covered from head to toe
with invisible tape
like a gift you
wrap at christmas
because you only want the
wrapper and the ribbons seen.

But inside the box
the priceless
crystal goblet
is shattered
completely
shattered

And no amount of tape
or glue
or ribbon
or words
can repair it.
