143 Ibn Gvirol st. Tel Aviv 03-6022320 C Atmosphere & Design - Cute bar and little tables. Split in two so you can choose if you want to sit at the corner of the street or in front of the people walking down Ibn Gvirol. Service - Ok, the owner is eager to please. Price -Like all other coffee houses in the area (8 NS for cookies, 16 NS for cappucino soup and about 50 NS for more complex things). Recommended dish - I liked the warm goat cheese sendwich and lasagne. The red fruit cake was nice too. The soups sound nice, though I haven't tried them yet. In conclusion... Nice, try it. |

85 Yehuda ha Levi St. Tel Aviv 03-5662050 R Atmosphere & Design - "Keter" plastic furniture and two young girls behind a counter trying to force the crowds away. Service - Oh well.. I suppose it's hard to handle so many people at any given time but.. Price - 13-15 NS for falafel Recommended dish - The regular falafel. The red falafel patties are nice, but the whole "mana" is quite terrible (who ever heard of pickled zucchini in falafel? Oh man..) In conclusion... Dissapointing. Better stick to their coffee place in Shenkin street (one of my favorites). |

18 Ha-Arbaa st. Tel Aviv 03-5621172 R Atmosphere & Design - Beautiful sushi place. A bit too dark, but I gladly forgive them. Service - Sweet and helpful. Price - Me and my friend paid 330 NS without tip and left full and happy. Recommended dish - Agadashi tofu (tampora tofu in soy and saki "soup"), the Inari (similar to a conus, but instead of the regular nori it is a filled sweet tofu pancake, great!), red tuna sashimi (always the best, especially for begginers). Even the desserts are nice. I would skip the sword fish though. In conclusion... Best sushi place I have ever been to, well deserve the praise it got in the papers. |
10 Trumpeldor st. Ramat Hasharon 03-5494775/2 R Atmosphere & Design - Thai place. Service - Quick but not very plesent. Price - About 250+ with tip. Recommended dish - Chicken skewers in peanut butter sauce. In conclusion... Pretty medium foodin a pretty medium atmosphere. I heard their "all you can eat sushi in 80 NS" deal is nice, though I haven't tried it myself. Looking at the menu, it didn't seem that appealing to me. |

30 Basel st. Tel Aviv 03-5462714 C Book store and a coffee house. Here you can find all sorts of books you will see in no other book store (poetry, art, psychology and much more). The little coffee house inside the store allows you to sit down and enjoy a little snack while looking at the books you just bought. I love the Atmosphere, the smell of coffee and books, the little cookies and seeing all those bohemian artists always filling in the place. |
293 Dizzengof st. Tel Aviv 03-5443427 Takeaway in 03-5442235 R
Atmosphere & Design - Big clean humus joint with an dor the northern Tel Aviv crowd. Service - Courtious and gracious. Price - Me and my friend paid about 120 NS for two humus with "tops", hambuger, falafel, drinks and one chocolate mousse. Recommended dish - Humus with "fool" was great. Best cheeseburger I have ever eaten (the secret is mixing the cheese with the meet before puting it on the grill, oh mama!) In conclusion... Yumm yumm yumm. We were there for brunch and I coudln't eat again till night time (when we went to Mul Yam. What a day). |

Wonderful dishes and a highly coltural crowd. LIke a little visit to Bath. Lots and lots of teas to choose from. The attached store is guaranteed to make many people cry in joy (and sorrow of the very high prices). Service - Graecious. Price - About 150+ NS for a couple. Recommended dish - I like the "rose of kongo" tea the most. Wonderful sendwichs stand. lovely cakes and english pastries. In conclusion... Go there go there go there (and please take me with you) |
