Stone blocking is an ideal finish for many entrance halls . The colour and style can be adjusted to suit most aspects and architectural features such as panelling and door surrounds add structure and dramatic detail.

In this hall the stone is strong in colour, setting off the portraits and antique curtains. Note the gilded pelmets which were especially made for this room.

Corridors

These corridors have been panelled and painted with a patinated green/gray finish.

To give impact to the doors to the Empire Dining Room (see later page) we constructed a large overdoor
