where are you going to hide? behind your pride? your arrogance? your bubble of denial, delusion and disinterest wears thin, fitting like a second skin that you lie trapped within. you have forgotten what it is to kiss a god and walk where angels dare not go and though you know you can the sandals just don't fit and so you quit before the voyage is begun you run to hide behind the darkened recesses of propriety setting a distance between your self your world and me you wish to speak and hear but there is fear that sheds a tear for the words now lying lost and at what cost? was it so much to ask for honesty? a righting of the scales is needed but the message goes unheeded and so we shall all cry and lie and die as fools merely the tools of what our hands have wrought without a thought that these then are the trappings of our souls. |
