And then, there's rafting with Wesley and Adam

First the splash . . . then the ride
Wes Broome is, honest to God, one of the best human beings I've met in a long time.  Does this man give you your money's worth, or what.  It was with Wesley's encouragement that I made my first whitewater run in an inflatable kayak, him yelling "Hit the big stuff, Nance!"   I trust this man implicitly when it comes to whitewater.   In this sequence, he had the charming couple back in the boat in a flash.  It's actually rare for him to dump people - that's why I like this amazing photo series.
then the swim baby's first kayak trip
The photos below were taken on daughter Laura's 17th birthday.   Adam, the guide was carefully chosen for his river ability and general handsome river rat hunkiness.  This was not lost on Laura.  His stories of bicycling from Montana to Mexico and rescuing sea turtles on a magic beach in Costa Rica were a nice touch, too.   Kayla didn't have to be wearing the helmet - she just thought it was fun.
wish you could see this guy's face we got to stare at him the whole day
One of the best choices for the day was to invite Gordon, the kids' Dad along for a swim. (below) He knew what he was there for and went for the best ride he could get.

A couple of details, a little fuzzy, but I thought I'd throw them in anyway
can almost see his face in this one Steve and Kathy, bigger than little blobs
