Guiding Others to the Decision

Poem II

And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down."

(Revelation 10:4)

For every one heaven
I call upon the lucky seven
And thank Him for the smile
Which shines on me all awhile
I'm cheating before His very eyes
That sees past my walls and guise
But when He splits my heart asunder
After He's stolen all my thunder
I slip on the shining, forgotten robe
Discover that I'm no perfect Job
Deserve punishment as much as any sinner
Am just a loser and look up to the winner
Who won all things with precious blood
Which I died within at my own flood
And now drink when I'm one with the body
When all is dark and the cross is all I see

Poem IV

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:16)

You thought you knew almost everything
Until you opened the eyes
that have always blessed your head
You won't ever know ignorance's sting
Because your trapped mind flies
With what you have learned instead
Of ending up somewhere dead

How does it feel with wind-without-wing?
It may come as no surprise
That with this knowledge you lead
People to this newly found spring
The truth's no longer lies
But is something as true as blood is red
Which is something that Someone bled
And this Someone's not somewhere dead

Poem VI

We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but
you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored!

(1 Corinthians 4:10)

©I Am Weak

The world is not black and white. More like black and grey. --Graham Greene

Purpose to purpose
I have not a clue
The connections are connected
Still, I don't understand you
I am left unaffected

Book to book
I cannot turn a page
Interpret the sign
Of every war, kiss, age
I am left behind

Song to song
I don't know the tune
The words work tragic
Which I've known to soon
In unimagined magic

Word to word
No word have I heard
In ever silence
Words have become blurred
I hold no credence

Ocean to ocean
I see no borders
The mind separated us all
No father's orders
But these walls won't fall

Person to person
There was never any love
Nothing to hold us as one
Several weren't even thought of
But nothing is ever done

Heart to heart
Now I'm starting to know
Read, hear, and speak
Of what has taught me to grow-
Can't be wrong
Though I am weak
He is strong
