My Cat Page

This is my favourite cat, WHITENOSE... She is one of the four cats that live in my host mother Gill's house in Oxted, Surrey (England) where I spent my assistant year in 1996. She is a rather phlegmatic chubby cat and likes to be stroked for hours and hours. Just as long as you don't forget to give her her "nibbles" and her meals. She always slept in Gill's bed but I had to get up a little later than Gill and so Whitenose "moved" in the morning to sleep another hour in my bed. The latest news: poor Whitenose has to move as Gill sold the house in Oxted and moved to Bristol where she got her ministry....

News from Shiva

Meeaow!...my name is Shiva, almost 2 years old. I am all black with blueish-green eyes. I live in a nice flat in the inner city of Dortmund, Germany. My flat mates are a couple of humans.
My latest news, it's 26th March, 2000. We're still living in that flat in Dortmund, inner city. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I could leave the flat and see the world outside. Then I spend hours sitting on the window sill looking out. There's so much to see. I'm a bit frustrated because I would so like to chase those nasty pidgeons. They crap everywhere and Doro, one of my humans, always swears when she has to clean the window sills.
But the good news: we'll be moving. I'm not entirely sure whether I like the idea of having to leave my hunting grounds here but then Doro and Sven tell me that in the new house we will have a garden and will be allowed outside!! Now that is good news, I think!

About my flat mates...Sometimes I help them clearing the table, it's easy, just try to get hold of the table cloth and PULL! Unfortunately they're a quite ungrateful bunch and shout at me when I do that...they do have their faults, you know. Sometimes, they insist on taking me to some place called the vet's. Now that's an unpleasant fellow!! But on the whole I'm a happy cat.
Pitti, the new cat that moved in last year has gotten used to us and I have gotten used to her as well. Sometimes we get along well, then we chase each other around the flat, at other times we fight but usually it's more for fun and keeping fit for the survival outside.
