Because I said that Allis is my soul mate, this does not in any way mean I do not love Lupus as well. It is simply that I cannot see myself in him the way I can with Allis. He’s too calm. Too cool. Too cozy. He’s like a big dog, although he will never obey you. Neither of our cats will, but then, that’s one of the greatest things with cats, no? He is the kind of cat that you MUST love, and in turn, he loves you. He loves everyone, and everything. In a lazy, cute kind of way.

When I take my cats for a walk, and try to get them home again, Allis often comes running. Lupus just stares at me as if he’s saying ‘you stupid? I’m having FUN!’. Sometimes, he just runs off. And no matter how much you call for him to get back, he just won’t listen. So although he’s a nice cat, he still has a will of his own. Doesn’t matter how much you scream to him not to sharpen his claws on your furniture. He just won’t listen. I try to clap my hands, hiss, and shout, but he just cocks his head, looks at me, and continues doing whatever it was that I tried to tear him away from. He’s cool. Never seen a cat as cool as he. He’s not really afraid of anything. Cocky like a bulldog he walks along the streets, with his furry tail an antenna raised towards the skies. He’s curious about everything, and although he’s not as playful as Allis was when she was a kitten, he still loves to chase whatever moves when he’s outdoors.

I don’t know if he doesn’t understand because he’s stupid, or if he just doesn’t want to follow orders. He doesn’t -behave- as cleverly as Allis do, but when it comes to cats, that might just be a ruse. For all I know he might be the brightest cat alive. He just doesn’t act it.

Both cats are Norwegian Forestcats. Their tails are thick, their fur long, and a thick beard surrounds their throats. Their noses are long, their ears large and filled with tufts, and they are pretty big. The forestcats are renowned for their wildness, and in Allis’ case I can understand that. Not so when it comes to Lupus, though.
