News (2-21-00): LinkTo: Previous News The new year has brought new opportunities! Although I had submitted my paperwork for early retirement, I was recently selected for an aerospace structural engineering position at Randolph AFB (San Antonio). The job will be in support of the T-38 modifications being accomplished for the Fighter/Trainer Directorate which will be moving to Utah during the summer of 2000. After the mods are completed in 2002, I'll be back in the same situation that I had been facing earlier (either retire early and take the penalties or find something else in the government until 2006). Since Pam is already a Junior in high school, Sue decided to go to work part-time as a cashier. She has found the change challenging, especially when they want her to work 30+ hours per week. Nevertheless, she has done a super job and has made many new friends. Pam continues to work part-time at HEB on the weekends. She has made the A-B honor role consistently and is currently preparing to take the S.A.T. and A.C.T. college entrance exams in April. Pam is also planning to do some volunteer work at a local hospital in the near future. Michelle will be finishing graduate school at Stephen F. Austin University in May. It would be nice to see her sometime!! Jeremy passed the Arkansas Bar Exam in Aug '99 and has been working at a Law Firm in Little Rock. He and his wife, Katie, have adjusted to the new life in Little Rock, but still miss Fayetteville.
