Here are some of my sample art works. Most of them are pretty old. I haven't touched my art materials for a long time already. I blame it on U.P.'s College of Fine Arts. I was so frustrated that I was not accepted there so I decided to run away from arts. But art is a part of me. So here are my works.
This is from my art class last summer of 1995 done in art paper and charcoal. I was given thirty minutes to copy the statue. It was never polished. It looks so raw... and I like it!
A friend asked me to draw a cat for his new invention. He was trying to make a Filipino version of the "Magic" cards. I wonder what happened to him and his project. And I wonder if he used my work. This was also made in 1995. I used colored pencils and art paper.
I got the idea of this art work from a book on cartooning. I made some revisions. I think this was created in 1996. I made this on art paper and charcoal pencil.
Done in 1995. I used oil pastels and painted the whole work with thinner to flatten the image.
I have created the cartoon characters called "Lugvies" when I was a kid. This i s the logo I made for them.
These are sister and brother lugvies. They were created in 1987 or even earlier but it is only now that I have given attention to them again. I used colored pencils and art paper.
This is another "Lugvies" work. I used felt-tipped pen here.
Recurring nightmares of vampires and monsters helped me create this piece. I made this midnight of 1996. All I had was my pencil and paper. I was so tired and afraid...
This is another colored-pencil art work. I am fascinated with the female body. I prefer to sketch or paint females than males. I find men's bodies not proportional.
