Multimedia Web Technical Specilist - Technical producer for multimedia intensive section of www.washingtonpost.com. Responsibilities:

  • Maintaning dynamic templates using XML based propietary language.
  • Technical production of award winning web packages (The Clinton Years, Speak Truth to Power, Carol Guzy, Bearing Witness) involving the use of HTML, Javascript, Perl and Flash.
  • Daily maintence of static pages.

    WashingtonPost.Newsweek Interactive October 1999 - April 2000
    Contractor: Ad Posting and Quality Assurance responsibilities for large complex site containing over 300,000 pages during a massive upgrade with a deadline. Responsibilities included:

    • Hard coding Doubleclick Ads throughout the site; hundreds of pages at a time.
    • Analyzing the site and reporting any problems encountered including broken links, broken images, faulty ad behavior, and fixing them when possible.
    • Re-templating and making changes to hundreds of pages at a time using HomeSite.
    • Measuring, and helping to diminish, download time in currently used versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer.

    Norco International, Inc. 1998 - 1999
    Project Coordinator Worked with the Project Manager from conception to completion of the construction of two hangar doors for military aircrafts at King Khaled Military City, Hafar Al Batin in Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities included:

    • Reporting problems encountered to head office in U.S., discussing and implementing solutions.
    • Preparing and submitting proposals to clients, meeting with them for further discussions.
    • Preparaing all financial and banking documents.
    • Hiring labor

    • Graphic Arts:
      Scanning, adjusting, printing, and designing company brochures, logos, business cards, and letterheads using Adobe Photoshop and PageMaker.

    DePaul University 1997-1998
    Founding member and Publications Manager of the DePaul Undergraduate Journal run, with Professor Heidi Nast's guidance, solely by undergraduate students at DePaul. Liaison responsibilities between the publication house and the journal's board members. Responsibilities included:

    • Meeting with publishing houses to discuss pricing and specifications.
    • Presenting the acquired material to board members at weekly meetings.

    Taught a ten year old girl how to read and play basic guitar chords. She sung and played Let it Be by the Beatles, at an informal recital.
