Report from January 21st 1998 :

• We now has a lawyer and an advocate, who accepts to give free advices. We can also create a bureau for solving problems, which can be consulted and would give advices when needed.
• For the book "le temps des Naguals", you still keep on sending writings every week. I cannot say how big it is, but the common writings are now bigger than the original ones. I wrote to French publisher in France who allows copies and pirating of his publishings and he contacted me by phone then. I shall let you know his answer after he reads the first part in French. I proposed him Baud's pictures of Burroughs and Gysin to add in the book.
• I am also in touch with Roger Gentis, who wrote the text on the front page, and transmitted him the reports and infos on the group. He encourages us and asks to be kept updated of the following of the adventures. A pity he is not connected yet. Thanks to him.
• We have a connection in Belgium with a publisher of comics who is interested by new drawwers. If any of you are comic drawers and have work to propose, let me know; we might also make a scenario on Interzone and drawers could make the comics : we have enough stuff in this adventure to make something really good.
• Here the French group is getting a bit thicker, with new people mainly out of France, and is still very small compaired to the American bataillon. It's great though as we are in touch with each other, and due to the small number, our club has got a rather familial atmosphere.

• The common mail Interzone 23 Pierre Belouin created works, but it seems the messages are deleted when the inbox gets too full up. So if you want to keep them, you better record them when you read them, and check it from time to time. Most are in the News page as well.
• We are gonna have our second meeting on the 23^rd in 2 days. I hope we have less problems than the first time (see News page). You can check Interzone 23 before going there.

• About the content of this site (Western lands), I do not know how much it can contain, but I have added one pages from the book with dreams you sent. I think we should make a common research gathering the levels of dreams, synchronicities and cut-ups, because the common writings gathered show similarities in our respective experiences, as with Burroughs' accounts in "My Education" as well. So we might consider our different insights about it and the directions where this leads in gathering our points of view on the question.
• Some got job problems and are looking for selling their writings collages, pics, music, reviews, etc.

- the texts can be printed in a book and sold in the frame of the group, on the net. We got an address of a cheap publisher (32 pages books with texts, collages, paintings, etc.: $ 320 for 1000 copies for good quality white paper. The print can be of 120 pages maximum.
