Initially in 1993, members of the Industrial Arts Co-op came to the Brew House to establish a center for sculpture activity. In 1997 the I.A.C. began developing performance programs to fulfill expectations of the Brew House. By merging the concept of the I.A.C and Brew House programming needs, the I.A.C. Garage became a dual-purpose facility. The potential of workspace that could be used for production as well as exhibition became clear.
The combination of these objectives has one main outcome, artists are able interact and appreciate a sense of shared accomplishment, and the possibilities of connecting to other arts groups is constant. |
