Well as you know from the opening "Wedding Page", our wedding date is 21 August 1999. The ceremony AND reception will all be held outside at the home of my parents in Aromas, CA.
WEATHERAccording to the Farmer's Almanac, we're looking at some good weather for wedding week:
"Temperatures from June through August will average near normal in the north and the interior and 1 to 2 degrees above normal from Los Angeles to San Diego. Hottest periods in the Valley will occur in early and late July and in early and mid-August. The hottest weather in coastal sections will wait until late August. Precipitation will be about average for the season."
You can check updates, astrological events and other trivia at www.almanac.com.
SETTING
Since everything will be held outside, be sure to wear COMFORTABLE shoes. Also, Aromas can get a bit cool in the evenings, so bring a sweater.
PARKING
Okay, so the deal is... there's NO parking... or very little. Guests will have to park down on the main road (Carpenteria) and hike 2 miles to the ceremony. Ha ha. Actually we have hired our friend Evan who owns "Agventures Tours" to shuttle people back and forth in his tour bus-let (half a bus). So be sure to arrive plenty early so you have time to park and shuttle.
ACCOMODATIONS
I am listing some local accomodations here... we are willing to try to block out rooms, but need to know how many people need accomodations. We have found that most hotels require at least 10 guests staying in order to give any sort of discount. Let us know if you need any assistance in finding a place to stay...
