Only years, months, and days left until The BIG Day!

We will be updating this page as wedding planning progresses, so be sure to check back for vital info!

9 August 1999
Wow! Its been awhile! Actually I've tried on numerous occasions to get into my webpage to update it but thanks to the Geocities - Yahoo! merger my account has been really screwed up!
Anyway, back on the 1st, Tia and Taryn threw my bridal shower at Tasso's. It was great and I thank everyone who came and made it such a special day. I will post photos someday, but needless to say, I am too busy right now!
I am updating our webpage registry list today as we did recieve some of the towels we requested (Thanks Diana & Kevin!) but we are still holding out for that wheelbarrow! Well, its less than two weeks to go... we hope we'll see you there!

Another month has raced by! I can't believe its almost July and a little under 2 months until the big day.
June found us concentrating on another wedding... Michael and Rebecca tied the knot in MN on June 12. It was great fun.
Now that we're back in CA we're trying to tie up loose ends. Invitations have been mailed, responses are starting to come back. We're working on finishing up the favors (still), Karen is sewing like crazy, the guys have been working away at repairing the mole ravaged brick path, and the Gilroy Garlic Festival is coming!
Today I updated the registry page and if you haven't already checked out the a newest additions to the Photo Albums, take a minute or two now and flip through.

NOT a whole lot of changes... things have slowed down a little bit as we tie up loose ends. Shouldn't be much more to do until right before the wedding. Yeah! Took our Ring-Dude, Kevin, to see Star Wars- The Phantom Menace yesterday... had fun. Then off to his tuxedo fitting. He'll have to go back before the wedding for a second fitting... you know how 12 year old boys grow! Tomorrow is crafty day... maybe we'll get those favors done...
Got our proofs back from the engagement session... they're okay. Maybe they look better when big. Check back to see one or two posted when we get prints.

Didn't realize HOW long its been since the last update! We've been busy... invitations are addressed but not assembled. Most of the favors are done... need to organize another wedding work day. Major strides on the yard at Mom's ...she's relieved, so I'm relieved. Thanks to Tia, Sarah and Debi for coming down and assisting with the planting and painting. BIG thanks to Will (& Greg) for all the work they did laying the brick walkway to the gazebo. It is fantastic! And to think, they had never done this before... now we know that they'll never starve if they become unemployed.
Have the dress! Tia is helping me make the veil, but the headpiece is done. Still trying to figure out whether and how to register. Any comments? Anyone know how to program some sort of form or something that I can set up on my own and will automatically be updated. Lol.
Oh, we've only been engaged for 10 months and we finally got around to an engagement photo session :). Guess that's about it for now.

Another dress fitting today... with shoes! Tia and I set out on a quest and succeeded.. cute and COMFY shoes! Greg and Will have been looking at tuxes, hopefully they'll make a final decision this weekend when they make a group trek with Ted.

Finally picked out wedding invitations and ordered stamps. Still fussing with invitation wording. Do you think anyone would be offended if we asked "you must be at least 45" tall to attend this wedding"? Jerry, Tia and I have been joking about what the "polite" way to say that "this is an evening wedding and it might not be appropriate for small children" is. They're always good for some comic relief.
Met with the caterer and chose a rehersal dinner location as well. By the way, does anyone know where we can borrow 12 wooden picnic tables?

15 March 1999
Only a little over 5 months to go. I was stressing out, but fortunately Tia came down and got me organized. Thanks Tia!
I had my first dress fitting on Saturday... its beautiful, but I need shoes! While in MN, I discovered the outrageously high prices of veils and decided to make my own.
Have the invitations narrowed down to two or three designs, hope to have it narrowed down to one, by the end of the week!

8 February 1999
Valentine's Day (our first together) approaches and we're busy, busy with wedding plans. The good news... we hired a photographer and picked out a cake. Yum! We find ourselves in the process of the excrutiating decisions involved in the wedding registry... while NOT registering sounds like a wonderful idea, we've decided to keep our friends and let people off the 'ole "what do I get them" hook by trying a creative registry approach...
