| Welcome to my portrait page. The portraits are done in oil and acrylic paints. Typically I start off with a sketch or two to help nail down the key elements of the face. The next step is to sketch in the general features with a light wash of sienna, followed by a slow build up of tones to establish light and dark planes. Once those elements are in place the rest of painting typically falls into place very quickly.
