Comparison of nitritive value between Oscillatoria sp. and Spirulana sp.
by analyse the percentages of moisture, protein , fat, fiber, ash, nitrogen free extract and nitrogen found that the amounts
of those represented by average percentage per dry weight of Oscillatoria sp. were :
12.37%, 44.57%, 1.88%, 1.45%, 11.85%, 27.87% and 7.13% while the percentage per dry weight of those in
Spirulina sp. were as follow: 12.34%. 53.88%, 2.10%, 0.93%, 7.31% 23.45%, and
8.62%.
The analyses of the amounts of mineral content represented by mg/100g. dry weight in Oscillatoria
were : - calcium 190.52, phosphorus 846.03, potassium 976.79, sulfur 450.69, manganese 15.94, sodium 195.68,
magnesium 360.46, copper 7.36, iron 90.17 and zinc 8.07 mg/100 g. dry weight. The amount of those in
Spirulina sp. were : - 143.14, 803.50, 1253.90, 493.84, 7.88, 217.63, 248.87, 4.48,
59.92, 4.96 mg/100 g. dry weight.
When comparison of nutritive value in both alga by analyses of statictic use significant 0.05. The result showed that
the percentages of protein , fat, potassium sulfur and nitrogen of Spirulina sp.
were more than those of Oscillatoria sp. But the percentages of fiber, ash, nitrogen
free extract, calcium, phosphorus, manganese, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc of Oscillatoria
sp. were more than those of Spirulina sp. The precentages of moisture and sodium
of both alga were equal.
