Chaz Brenchley has made a living as a writer since he was eighteen; this year marks his twenty-first anniversary in the job. He is the author of eight published novels, most recently DISPOSSESSION, a mystery story about love and death, amnesia and a fallen angel. He is a prizewinning ex-poet and has also published three fantasy books for children and close to five hundred short stories in various genres. His only respectable employment was as Crimewriter-in-Residence at the St Peter's Riverside Sculpture Project in Sunderland, a bizarre experience which led inter alia to the collection BLOOD WATERS. He lives in Newcastle on Tyne, with two cats and a famous teddy-bear.
