The Cat in the Hat

OK, so maybe I don't really have time to look after this site, but god damn it, I'll try.

Who is Kasafeh?
Technically she's a character from the Tanith Lee book, "Death's Master".  Why is the site named after her?  Basically, because I can. And I did enjoy the book.

 Who is the Cat?
(this is the bit about myself)

My name is actually Catherine.  You see I could've called this thing Catherine's Emporium, but I think only my namesakes (including the ones who can't spell properly) understand why that's just not on.
Some people call me Cathy.  Some people call me Cat.  Some people call Catherine.
I really don't mind anyway...

I'd like to think of myself as a weird person, but really, I'm not that interesting.

This was supposed to be an arty farty photography site.  I actually considered making a proper information filled extravaganza on Joel Peter Witkin at one stage.  But somewhere along the way my ears bumped into a musician called Jeff Buckley.  He died.  A tribute spewed forth.

Music is a big part of my life.  I can honestly say my first love with respect to anything (except of course my parents, but you don't get a lot of a choice as a fetus) was the piano itself.  Then came Frederick Chopin, Rachmaninov, Bach....
*sigh*
I've met very few people that have come close to sparking the same feeling that comes from a few dots on staves.  On heavy rotation nowadays is (way too much) Radiohead, Tori Amos, Jeff Buckley,
Other then that...yeah, I write poetry...but it tends to be when I'm having mood swings and everything turns terribly melodramatic.  New poems are added every once and a while.  I've practically stopped being involved in photography because I don't have facilities or money..I'd like to get back into it some time, but until then...I guess it's back to pastels and stick people;)

I change this page whenever I'm in the mood.

Sweet days and dreams,

 Cat :)
