Today is one whole year without smoking one cigarette. According to the Quit Meter, I have refrained from smoking 7,289 cigarettes and have saved myself $1,093.35. I can't believe I spent over a thousand dollars of my net income on a dirty, smelly, dangerous habit that never did a thing for me. Never again!
This weekend, I found out that Stephen King is not only going to finish The Dark Tower series he started around 25 years ago, he's doing it at a galloping pace. I have already read, "The Wizard and the Glass" but I bought it anyway since it has been years. I am almost done reading Carlos Castaneda's, "The Art of Dreaming." I have yet to reach even the first gate of dreaming but it seems that my dreams have been more real. I am supposed to identify a certain object in my dreams and use it to make myself realize I am dreaming. I have no idea if what I am trying to do is working but I did have my first lucid dream after starting the book. It's a shame that I woke up as soon as I realized I was dreaming.
The TV advertised Subway's and Hardees' new low-carb options and they look very tempting! I took a break of it for the holiday but now I am ready to start back. I am relieved that I haven't gained any weight.
