Slightly after eight in the morning, I reported to the City-County Building for jury service. I was considered as a juror for an attempted burglary case but I was not selected. Since I work for an insurance company, I was not surprised. PBS' Frontline aired a program about Media Giants but unfortunately, I missed it. "Merchants of Cool," was the title and how appropriate. Since Viacom owns Paramount, Infinity (they own a very large share of radio stations,) and dozens of tv channels including CBS and MTV (the most heinous channel that ever existed,) I fault Viacom for my inability to find good music, films or television easily and consistently.
