Dance queen Becky Garcia hosts new radio show

Dance queen and Dance Sport Council of the Philippines President Becky Garcia brings dance sports another step closer to the public with a new radio show that is set to debut on Angel Radio, 1026 on the AM band, at 2:00 pm starting today and every Saturday thereafter.

Entitled DanceSport with Ms. Becky Garcia, the two-hour radio show tackles anything and everything about ballroom dancing and its athletic counterpart, dance sport. Garcia will regale radio listeners and dance sport enthusiasts with ballroom music, dance trivia and live interviews with people and celebrities who pump life into the dance sports scene. National and international dance champions, sports officials, foreign and local coaches and other celebrities will be among the personalities who will be interviewed by Garcia on the new show.

Designed to be both entertaining and informative, the show's features are guaranteed to make enthusiasts tap their feet with gusto. Aspiring dance sports artists and budding ballroom enthusiasts will also learn much about developing their talents from the show.

The radio show was originally conceptualized as a response to the overwhelming demand for dance sport and ballroom dancing material on the airwaves. Garcia says it will also be a good way to widen knowledge and encourage participation in dancesport, which is being eyed as a sport where the Philippines can aspire for its first Olympic gold medal. The radio show will be broadcast nationwide by National Broadcasting Corp.
