Enough is Enough

In the past few days, I've been inundated with everyone feeling the need to discuss his or her religious beliefs. It starts with one person, and soon enough, there is so much strife and discord that everyone' mad at each other. It doesn't matter how good of friends your are, if your interpretation of the 57th psalm is different, you'll be at each other's throats.

Get a clue people. We are all intelligent and well lived. We all have reasons and a basis for forming our beliefs. What I've done in life has made me believe in what I do, and your experiences have formed your opinions. You can't change that.

And these accusations over what's religious and what isn't. Stop. A family that goes to church everyday and says grace at dinner, are they religious? Yeah, they're pretty religious, but they are still nothing compared to the family next door who volunteers every night at the church's shelter reading the Bible to the homeless. Compared to them, the first family should burn in hell. After all, they could do more.

But that's stupid. Quantity is not what's important. A person who never enters a church can be just as religious as the Pope. Not everyone needs Church or organized religion or a holy scripture or icons or sacrifices or holidays or communion or… to lead a good life.

And even if a person has some void in their life, Church might not be the answer. It might work for you, but we lead different lives. Sure, aspirin cures my headaches, but for me, cloudy days make me happy. Therefore, they should make everyone happy. They don't, and that's the difference.

So why do we even bother arguing about this? We know we'll just upset each other and no agreement will come from they yelling. Religion is a personal matter and I'm not saying anymore about it. Reply if you like to this message, but it will be deleted without being read.
