About Poetry

There is no way to over-interpret a poem unless you start using that poem as your manifesto in a social revolution.

Comments:

  • i had to read this about five times before i got it, am i dumb?
    -Jeff

  • hmmm.... i'm a little confused. I don't think an author can communicate more than he knows... that could lead to a lot of confusion. If I write this e-mail to you as a communication of my confusion and you also take it to mean that I think your dumb(which your not and i don't think) we could have problems. Also what if a poem is meant as a manifesto?
    -Marshall
