Hollywood's Secret
Ever wonder why movies like "You've Got Mail" and "Sleepless in Seattle" are always box-office successes? Well, quite simply, people watch them since they defy reality. Think about it. How often in real life do you hear a story that starts with a man and a woman together romantically that ends with them still happily together? At least in my experience, the overwhelming majority of these tales are of horrific breakups and felonious dumpings. Something in our nature has us constantly discussing our failed attempts at perpetuating our genetic matter. We get sick of all this bad news, and thus, cheezy movies starring Meg Ryan are a welcome escape.
