Thunder in Winter

Currently, there is a thunderstorm raging outside my window. About six inches of snow is also on the ground. These are contradictions, really, but they do exist.

This is what makes the world great. . . not making sense. Surprises are always good, unless you have a heart condition. In fact, I'd be safe to say that making any event a surprise livens things up. . . even funerals. Everyone hides in the dark till the corpse arrives. If you leap out loud and sudden enough, you might wake the dead. EGAD!

Seriously, though, the ability to pleasantly surprise someone is one of the most endearing qualities available to humanity. No person, however, can be surprised in the same way. The friends and others that you remember the most in life are the ones who always leave you going "Huh?!?" and "Wow!"

Above all, this is the ultimate test for not only true friendship and love. . . surprise.
