February 3, 1999Dimensional Shifting Have you ever wondered if this is your proper dimension? Of course, you might ask how does one switch dimensions. Well, let's just believe that an Oldsmobile 98 running low on brake fluid can trigger the inherent dimensional shifting properties of its alloy frame. The implications of this is amazing and scary. Just because everything looks the same on the outside does not instantly make everything the same on the inside. Penicillin might really be arsenic. That crab puff cake you really like might now just taste like shit. Events can also change. Remember in high school when you answered with absolute certainty that the Wright Brothers first took flight in 1907, but when you get the test back, the real answer is 1903. You can absolutely swear that you studied that date as 1907 and it was right back then, but now it's suddenly changed! 1907 and 1903 are nothing alike. . . not in sound, appearance, or flavor. People look at you strange, so you abandon your convictions and accept this so-called "correct" fact. Yes, it's correct in your current dimension, but not in that unique dimension you call home. Also, have you ever had a friend or close someone who just seemed to fade out of your life and if you confront this person, all he or she says is, "I hate you for YOU KNOW WHAT!" Of course, this "WHAT!" is purely mysterious to you and whatever fatal event it obviously antecedes must have been horrific. However, it was not your fault, but the evil other you native to the current dimension. You know, dimensional shifting has got to be one of the most preferred psychoses for dealing with reality.
