February 9, 1999Failed Starts Ever wonder how I continually write these Diogenes? They don't always come flowing out as regularly as I would like. Here are a few false starts I've had over the past few months. Someday I might actually finish one of these initial starts. Have you ever had to test the waters in the metaphorical sense? When are we truly safe? As cold, stark reality will put it, there is always danger around every corner, behind every electron. Is that a duck? Someone smiled at me today. The Antichrist does not necessarily have to be that bad of a guy. Watching movies alone is no way to survive. Marshmallows catch on fire and burn thousands of Boy Scouts each year. I aim for failure in life for the security blanket failure provides. Hope was given a brief push today in the right direction. The secret to love and lasting relationships is mutual laughter. I started all this for a reason. |
