A Very Good Thing

A very good thing would most likely be Found perhaps under a Yuletide Christmas Tree But perhaps you are Jewish Then it would be foolish To find good things under an object of blasphemy

Limericks are interesting. Their rhyme and stanza structure automatically lead to humorous tones, yet they can hold some sort of truth to them. The above is a weak example. Hidden among the ludicrous assonances and feminine rhyme, there is a simple message that there are more things in this heaven and earth than dreamt of in your philosophy. Good things can come from places not preordained by sacred texts. A simple truth found hidden among humor. For those who live by the notion that all events are lessons to learn by, let the moral for the day be the look of the container says not everything about what's inside.
