Quiet People

I am wondering which are more common: quiet or loud people. Looking and listening around, the loud seem to be in the majority. However, consider the case of bacteria and people. Sure, it might look like people outnumber bacteria, for looking around the room I count two people and no bacteria, but with a microscope, the numbers change. Perhaps the only reason loud people seem more common is that they are readily more noticeable.
