May 2, 1999Done the Right Thing Which is the better deed to do: doing what you want or what you think another person would want? Is it right to assume another person's feelings? The answers to these questions define our personalities and I won't bother to debate them. However, I want to look at a specific case. What if a person only wanted to do what's best for another person and that person had said what they wanted. Shouldn't it all add up that everyone would be happy. Well, it doesn't. It just doesn't. This doesn't mean a thing to anyone out there, but despite the summation, I'm just not happy. I guess I'll have a lot to think about this summer. |
