The Insane Man

The insane man skipped down the street with an inane smile on his face. He didn't cheer or whoo or yippee-yea. He remained a strange sort of silent, as if the world had ceased to exist around him leaving only some strange nether neverneverland that was perfect for smiling about. His goofy grin scared some, but drove many more curious.

Finally, as the day waxed on, people could take the strain no more and they finally inquired into the smile. Expecting no coherent response, all were shocked by the simple explanation.

"I am happy since I am not having delusions. Mythic beasts are not making me crazy, reality is what slowly and quickly drives me insane."
