Monday, July 14, 1997 -- Quiet

Started and finished Emily Davenport's Larissa today. Today was a quiet day, for which I can be grateful. The Air Conditioning at work was on the blink again today. It wasn't off, it just had decided not to heat my cube.

Upon further inspection, I realized that it wasn't just my cube, but all the ones around the perimeter of our building, which led me to realize that the perimeter vents weren't blowing air. Ahh...well, that's a problem for maintenance. I checked with the secretary, and they'd already been called. Twice.

They never showed up, and we swelterd in the office.

On a good note, however, Carl is back this week. I hadn't realized how much I missed having him here. He's really a nice guy to have around..quiet for the most part, and when we talk, it's at least interesting. He and I are pretty different, but there's a basic geekiness that we both have that lets us get along.

I spent about thirty minutes looking for the Bisexual Support Group's number, and then left it at work. I'll have to remember to get it from work tomorrow.

Ok, I'm putting this off. I do have a list of our PPO's [what's a PPO? is it like an HMO, only different?], so I've started my information gathering. I hope to have this settled by the end of next week (not knowing how long it will take Bisex Support Group to get back to me..)

I didn't have the stamina for IRC tonight. I was just on enough to see Azura, and the time while I waited for her. I'm getting a little bored with things in the evening. I need to resurrect one of my projects.

And that's why I finished Larissa. Well it's sort of short, and a light quick read, but I just sat in bed and read, and petted Maggie Cat.

Maybe I'll feel more productive tomorrow.
